Seriously, talk about a reality check..... or get one, it's a matter of perspective.
I mean seriously, aren't these Games in enough trouble without Indian citizens using it as an opportunity for satire and humiliation of the organizing committee, the government and people in general????
Indians bickering and quarreling about an event (which they bid for and celebrated like hell when they won the bid) of international prominence such as The Commonwealth Games will be a great attraction for the foreigners visiting the country for the first time - awesome first impression it'll give them, too.....

I love the fact that there's been some strong reaction from you here,Nevin :) .
After having said that, I'll also have to say that I'm sorry I'll have to disagree with you on this one. Unlike you, I feel quite unsympathetic towards certain people in the CWG organising committee. It is not the reportage of corruption that shames a nation , it's the act of corruption itself. Delhi itself is a satire.. all we're doing is recording it..

Satire is only fun as long as it does not humiliate oneself - and that's exactly what we're doing. The CWG maybe a fiasco, might have been the most corrupt games ever, they may suck... All I'm saying is, humiliating ourselves will not solve this issue. It's fine, what you're doing, it's necessary - but can't you put it off until 'the end of the games? Not helping, that's what all this criticism is doing.

I think it's important to express one's disapproval , in time ,(in a satirical way, in this case :) ) in order to show the world that the ethos of normal citizens of this country is perhaps different from that of our corrupt politicians and babus. We would humiliate ourselves only if we pretended to be ignorant citizens.
I totally respect your concern for the country's image and you are indeed entitled to any opinion you hold. But seriously - the jokes doing the rounds are the least of the worries for the games .. oh wait ! was that another foot overbridge falling?

No....... it was a false ceiling (why is it false, anyway??) I get it, I am totally humiliated.... And so is India... but I'm done trying to save the country's face.......
I give up, totally exhausted... CWG India on google search gives us the word 'disaster', 'humiliation', 'corrupt' etc... I'm sick and tired... They could have built the Games Village anywhere with the money they spent on these Games... It had to be in Delhi, didn't it?? That is the primary reason for this failure, in my opinion...
I Care Not What Happens To these games any longer - you will not hear me speak in defence of CWG any longer... I can neither reason with you nor the media nor any of the critics...

Agree! What Priya has said.If you let them go this time, these politician will escape later on. And in absence of Top athletes from the world, Indian grab most of the medal and these politician will claim. Complete COMMONWEALTH SHAMES.
Whole country going to pay because of few Bas****s. ( Pardon me.)
